What about life?

Dang Dang Dang

Did I blog about my colleague’s wedding? I think I totally forgot since some of the photos taken are still inside my camera. It was a terrible start in the morning for we did not have much sleep the previous night. We stayed up late preparing for the next day. And we were famished because we did not take any breakfast. Without food, hungry people arrive at the hotel suite to play the usual Chinese hongbao-asking-at-door games. Hungry people followed to couple’s house for Chinese tea-serving ceremony. We contemplated rummaging through the fridge for any food but none was to be found. So hungry people could not stand it and we diverted route for some bread before going to ROM. We arrived just in time for the registry. It was kind of touching, though I’m still not interested in marriage. Then we wanted to skip the lunch reception to go back to hotel for some sleep but the bride insist we arrive at the restaurant for lunch. So it was yet another 2 hours of ‘socialising’ for the zombies. The tradeoff was that I sat beside this really handsome German who is the eye candy of all (including those married ladies). Was boring though because we did not talk much. Then it was a rush back to the hotel to check out in time and to my friend’s place for some sleep. Though it was a mere 1 hour of sleep, with bulldozer going on and on in the background, it was somewhat refreshing. Tidied up and it was time for the ‘night shift’. We had to be the ones receiving the guests for the wedding dinner. It was tiring standing on feet and there were moment of anguish due to conflicts with bride’s other pals. But the delicious food (though too small servings) made it worthwhile. Final dish was served at midnight then it was home sweet home.
